The High Court has reserved judgment until tomorrow morning in the case of Monsanto Ltd, the international company which plans to grow genetically modified sugar beet at the Teagasc centre in Carlow.

An injunction is being sought by Ms Clare Watson, a member of Genetic Concern, against the planting of the genetically engineered sugar beet on health and environmental grounds.
