A Belfast judge yesterday refused a defence application to stop the Crown Court trial of paratrooper Lee Clegg and acquit him of the murder of Ms Karen Reilly (18), shot dead on September 30th, 1990 when troops opened fire on a stolen Vauxhall Astra car on the Glen Road in west Belfast, in which she was a back-seat passenger.

Lee Clegg's cross-examination continues today.
