The jury in the trial of a Dublin man charged with manslaughter has been discharged after Judge Patrick McCartan directed he be found not guilty.

Mr Gavin Hudson (21), of Sean O'Casey Avenue, Dublin, pleaded not guilty to killing Mr Christopher Sheekey (42) on November 18th, 1998. The case of the prosecution was based on statements by Mr Hudson while in custody. The judge deemed these inadmissible.
