Madrid - The Spanish composer Joaquin Rodrigo, whose Concierto de Aranjuez became one of the 20th century's best-known pieces of classical music, died yesterday at the age of 97. The composer, who was blind since childhood, died at his home in Madrid. The Concierto de Aranjuez, written for guitar and orchestra, was first performed in 1941.
