A man who threatened to blow up the Rosslare Europort terminal has been sentenced to four months in prison.

A man who threatened to blow up the Rosslare Europort terminal has been sentenced to four months in prison.

Michael McKevitt (20), Millennium Court, Hebron Road, Kilkenny city, was charged at Wexford District Court with intoxication and threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour at Rosslare Europort, Ballygillanne Little, Rosslare Harbour, Co Wexford, on December 29th.

Insp Pat McDonald told the court: “The man was drunk and threatening. He verbally threatened the staff and security team that he was going to blow up the building and everyone in it and going to get them.”

Judge Donnchadh Ó Buachalla sentenced McKevitt to four months in jail.
