An Israeli soldier was seriously wounded today in a bomb blast in the Gaza Strip, an Israeli official said.
The official said a roadside bomb exploded near the Jewish settlement of Netzarim in the Gaza Strip. Israel Radio reported the wounded Israeli would be taken by helicopter to hospital.
The attack came as Israeli and Palestinian negotiators held last-minute talks in Egypt to try to forge a peace deal.
