Polling in the forthcoming European and local elections will take place on Co Galway's Aran Islands (electorate 1,034) and on the island of Inishbofin (electorate 220) on Wednesday, June 9th, two days before the rest of the State goes to the polls.

In the seven-seater Connemara electoral area, seven former polling stations have been amalgamated with larger ones for the June local elections to Galway County Council.

They are Kilmilkin (Maam) (electorate 115), Gort Mor (Rosmuc) (192), Maam Cross (Maam) (40), Inis Turk (Clifden) (eight), Aillbrack (Clifden) (189) , Drisean (Cong) (55) and Doire Mhor Iata (Recess) (54).
