"I'm delighted that iPhone users can now access live content and breaking news from The Irish Times  in an intuitive, user-friendly way throughout the day," said online editor Hugh Linehan. "The early indications are that the irishtimes.com app is performing very well in terms of sales, which is very encouraging."

The new app is the latest development for Irishtimes.com. In December, the website established a mobile site, aimed at a wider range of phone users.
