Racing:Sunday's planned meetings at Clonmel and Leopardstown have both been abandoned.

Clonmel fell foul of the weather after an inspection at 8.30, with Leopardstown being called off around two hours later.

Racing was scheduled to start at Leopardstown at 2pm with a number of Cheltenham Festival contenders due to gallop at the end of the card.

Irish Turf Club spokesman Cliff Noone said: "They inspected the track at Clonmel and found that it was waterlogged following heavy rain.

"They also had some concerns about the high winds."

And on Leopardstown, he added: "They have had 15 millimetres of rain since 8am and it's still raining."
