As the conclusion of the Olympic Games draws ever nearer there is still much to be decided, not least at the Workers' Gymnasium where three Irish boxers are in with the chance of returning home from Beijing with gold medals in their possession.
Darren Sutherland gets the action under way at 8am tomorrow when the Dubliner takes on Britain's James Degale in their Middleweight semi-final bout.
At midday Light-Flyweight Paddy Barnes takes on China's Schiming Zou for a place in the final, while strong favourite for a gold medal, Kenny Egan, takes to the ring at 2pm. Egan meets Britain's Tony Jeffries in the Light-heavyweight semi-final.
In the early hours Colin Griffin and Jamie Costin will set out in the men's 50kilomtre walk from 12.30am.
Should the trio of boxers advance to their respective finals then Sutherland will be the first back into the ring on Saturday. The Middlweight final is due to take place on Saturday at 1.46pm.
Should Barnes and Egan reach their respective finals they will contest finals on Sunday, Barnes at 6.30am and Egan at 8.51am.
Robin Seymour will compete in the Mountain Bike Men's Cross Country from 8am on Sunday.
In athletics Martin Fagan will race in the Men's Marathon at 12.30am while Alistair Cragg is set to race in the Men's 5000m final from 1.10pm on Sunday.
