An investigation is underway after a woman died in a house fire in Co Mayo.
A Garda spokesman said the incident happened shortly before 2.30pm yesterday at Laughtavarry, Ballyvary, Castlebar.
The 78-year-old woman was fatally injured.
The scene was preserved last night pending a technical examination.
