A woman (26) has been charged in connection with a "suspicious" house fire in Drogheda, Co Louth at thr weekend.

A woman in her 70s was seriously injured during the fire at Cord Road, Drogheda in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The 26-year-old woman is due to appear before Trim District Court tomorrow morning in connection with the fire.

She was arrested by gardai in Drogheda on Sunday evening. Three men held in connection with the incident were released without charge last night.
