Woman (20s) dies following collision between car and truck in Kerry

Crash happened at about 1.15pm on the N69 in Tralee

A woman in her 20s has died in a road collision in Co Kerry on Monday afternoon.

The crash involving a car and a truck occurred at approximately 1.15pm on the N69 in Tralee.

The woman, the driver of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was not injured.

The road is currently closed with local diversions in place to allow garda forensic collision investigators examine the scene.

Investigating gardaí are appealing for witnesses, in particular anyone who was travelling on the N69 at the time of the accident and who may have camera footage, to come forward.
