Gardaí have confirmed that a man and woman were found dead following a house fire near Duleek, Co Meath this morning.

Both were from the area and well known.

The fire was in their home at Keenogue, Duleek.

A Garda spokesman said there is nothing to suggest it was suspicious.

Local councillor Sharon Keogan said, “We are all in shock. Both of the deceased were very well known in the community. The whole community is absolutely in shock.”
