Refugees found hiding in lorry in Co Waterford

Nine refugees have been found in a lorry in Co Waterford.

They were found hiding in a lorry which was stopped and searched on the Waterford to New Ross road this afternoon

The lorry had recently arrived on a ferry from Cherboug to Rosslare.

All the refugees are understood to be adults. A number of the refugees have been taken to University Hospital Waterford.
