Commuters on the Red Luas line in Dublin have been urged to allow extra time for their evening commute due to a fault on the line.

Services were disrupted for a time between Blackhorse and Saggart/Tallaght due to the technical problem.

Full services were restored by 7.30pm.

However, Luas said passengers should expect delays for up to one hour.

A dedicated shuttle service will operate between Belgard and Saggart, the company said on its website.
