Delta flight carrying over 200 passengers and crew diverted after fault

A passenger plane has made an emergency landing at Shannon Airport.

More than 200 passengers and crew were on board the Delta aircraft as it made its way from Italy to Atlanta.

Emergency services were on standby when it touched down just after 4pm.

The Boeing 767 was diverted to Shannon after it reported a technical fault.
