Motorcyclist killed at Port Tunnel named as Stephen Fisk

Tributes paid to ‘friend and long-term motorcycle enthusiast’ after untimely death

The man killed in a motorcycle crash near the Dublin Port Tunnel in Dublin on Monday morning has been named locally as Stephen Fisk from Co Meath.

Mr Fisk was well known in the motor trade where he dealt in second hand cars and as a biking enthusiast.

Writing on social media, Amigos Moynalvey Motorcycle Enthusiasts said it was with “deep sadness and a heavy heart” that the group was sharing the news of “the passing of Stephen Fisk, our friend and long-term motorcycle enthusiast, who lost his life tragically in a road traffic accident in the Dublin Port Tunnel this morning, RIP. Stephen we will miss you greatly . . . so long Amigo.”

Other tributes carried messages of love from neighbours and friends.

The crash took place at about 10:30am on Monday morning and the southbound tunnel remained closed until 3pm as emergency services attended the scene.
