Motorcyclist dies in single-vehicle crash in Galway city

Gardaí seeking witnesses or any roads users who may have camera footage to come forward

A male motorcyclist in his 20s has died in a single-vehicle road crash in Galway city.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene following the incident at about 7.30pm on Monday, March 7th on Bóthar na dTreabh in Galway city.

The crash site remained closed on Monday night for a technical examination by forensic collision investigators and local diversions are in place. These diversions are expected to remain in place until Tuesday morning.

Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses to the crash or any roads users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on Bóthar na dTreabh at the time to come forward.
