A man in his early 30s has died following an incident in which the vehicle he was working underneath fell on him.
The incident occurred at a filling station in Cashel, Co Tipperary.
The man, who was a mechanic, was making repairs underneath a truck after it had broken down. It’s understood the axle of the truck fell on him.
Gardai were called and are treating the incident as a workplace accident.

The man was brought to hospital but he did not survive. A post-mortem is being arranged and the Health and Safety Authority has been informed.
