Man seriously injured following Dublin shooting incident

Gardaí in Clondalkin are investigating after a man was seriously injured in a shooting in Clondalkin in Dublin late last night. The wounded man was treated at the scene in Cherrywood Drive by emergency services who rushed to the incident at 10.30pm.

The victim was later taken to Tallaght hospital where his condition is decribed as critical. The area has been sealed off for a technical examination.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone who was in the Cherrywood Drive area between 10pm and 10.45pm. They urge anyone who saw any unusual or suspicious behaviour to contact Clondalkin Garda Station at 01-6667600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666111 or any Garda station.
