Man killed in early morning Co Wexford crash

A man in his 20s was killed when his car collided with a van on the N 11 between Oylegate and Kyle's Cross in Co Wexford early on Saturday morning.

The incident happened at Garrycleary, Crossabeg at 4.25am. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to Wexford General Hospital for a postmortem examination.

The van driver, a man in his 40s, was also taken to Wexford General Hospital with minor injuries.

The N11 is currently closed to traffic in both directions and diversions are in place. Garda investigators have been notified to attend the scene.
