A man in his 40s has died following a single-vehicle car crash in Co Cork.

The incident occurred at 6.20am on Tuesday at Cashelbeg, Bandon.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A postmortem will be carried out on his body.

However, gardaí do not believe the man died as a result of the crash.
