Man hospitalised after fire in Waterford hotel

Emergency services attend scene of blaze on Friday, gardaí say no foul play suspected

A man has been hospitalised after a fire at a Waterford hotel on Friday morning.

The fire is understood to have broken out at the Waterford Marina Hotel on Canada Street at about 8am.

A man in his 30s was removed to University Hospital Waterford and the extent of his injuries is unknown, according to gardaí.

Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene and no foul play is suspected.
