A 19-year-old man has died after falling through the roof of a building in Dublin.

Craig Hanlon was seriously injured after falling about 12 metres (40ft) through a roof in a vacant warehouse on Basin Lane, Dublin 9 on Monday afternoon.

Dublin Fire Brigade arrived at the scene after receiving an emergency call at 4.30pm.

Mr Hanlon was taken by ambulance to St James’s Hospital with serious head injuries.

He was confirmed dead by gardaí on Thursday morning.
