Man charged over alleged Temple Bar assault

A man has been charged in connection with an alleged attack on a woman in Temple Bar, Dublin in the early hours of Friday morning.

Gardaí said they were called to Essex Street, Temple Bar at about 2am where they arrested a man thought to be in his 20s.

He has not been named and was released to appear at the Criminal Courts of Justice on April 11th.

Apart from this arrest, gardaí said St Patrick’s Day was a quiet and peaceful event across the country.
