A male cyclist has been killed in a hit-and-run collision in Co Galway.
The man in his late sixties was in collision with a car near traffic lights on the Gort Road at around 8.30pm.
He was taken to University College Hospital Galway where he was pronounced dead shortly before 2am.
The car, a blue BMW, left the scene driving in the direction of Gort. Part of the vehicle's registration is 01 G.
