Gardaí seize 600 cannabis plants during the search of address in Carraigaholt

A major cannabis growing operation has been discovered at a house in Co Clare.

Gardaí seized more than 600 cannabis plants during the search of an address in Breaffa, Carraigaholt yesterday.

Evidence of more than 500 harvested plants was also discovered during the operation.

Subject to analysis, the drugs seized may have a street value of almost €500,000, gardaí said.

The scene remains preserved and a technical examination of the area is being carried out.

There have been no arrests.
