Hundreds gather in Dublin for Yes Equality event

Hundreds of people gathered at Merrion Square in Dublin on Sunday for a Yes Equality event organised by LGBT noise.

Gay and lesbian choir Gloria treated the crowd to renditions of I can't help falling in love with you and Abba's Mamma Mia.

The choir called for a yes vote in the same-sex marriage referendum and told the crowd “you can’t help who you fall in love with”.

Members of the crowd held up placards with the word ‘equal’.

Minister for Equality AodhánÓ Ríordáin was among the members of the crowd.

Comedian and actor Tara Flynn said the Yes campaign could not be complacent and urged the crowd to tell people who were undecided to vote yes.
