The Dublin Georgian North (by NE) architectural walking tour Taking place tomorrow from 2.10pm-4.15pm, the Dublin Georgian North architectural walking tour is an architectural and social history walking tour led by writer and art historian Arran Henderson.

The tour includes Parnell Square, Cavendish Row and the entire Rotunda complex, including the hospital and the Gate and Ambassador theatres.

The End of Summer Ladies Day

Taking place at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin tomorrow and running from 1pm-5pm, the end of Summer Ladies Day is billed as catering for women “in need of a day of pampering and shopping”. Tickets cost €10. http://tinyurl.com/pcj2h42

Fleadh Cheoil na

hÉireann The fleadh concludes in Co Sligo tomorrow. It is the largest traditional Irish music event in the world and its

mission is to run an “inclusive, celebratory and unique” programme.

Hands-on History: Medieval Life in Trim

This is a history-themed event taking place at the Blackfriary in Trim tomorrow.

Visitors will meet the archaeologists uncovering the long lost friary while trying their hand at simulated archaeology and learning the art of excavation.

There will be an opportunity to meet characters from medieval Trim, such as the masons who crafted the churchland buildings, the healers who tended the sick with their leeches and potions and the friars who ministered to the nobility and poor alike. Kilkenny Arts Festival

The festival finishes this weekend. Secret Garden Music will involve a series of pop-up concerts twice each afternoon when musicians will perform in six of Kilkenny’s city gardens.

The locations have been expanded this year to include two new garden venues: the 13th-century Black Abbey and the River Court on the banks of the Nore. Tickets for concerts are free. http://www.kilkennyarts.ie/

Tallafest

This is a community festival taking place on the main street in Tallaght today. Running from noon-6pm, there will be sports, entertainment, culture, nature, walking and a kids’ zone.

There will be a bake-off in the Priory car park commencing at 1pm. All activities within festival area are free.
