Gardaí appeal for witnesses after pedestrian injured in Cork collision

28-year-old victim was hit by the car on Kilmallock Road, Charleville at about 3.50am

Gardaí in Cork are appealing for witnesses to an incident in which a pedestrian was seriously injured after he was struck by a car in the early hours of the morning.

The 28-year-old man was hit by the car on Kilmallock Road, Charleville, at about 3.50am. He was taken to Limerick Regional Hospital for treatment.

The scene of the crash is currently closed to traffic, with forensic collision investigators expected to attend the scene.
