Fire causes closure of platforms at Connolly Station in Dublin

Disruption expected as fire brigade tackle blaze in a building near the station

Six units of Dublin Fire Brigade are dealing with a fire at a building on Preston Street near Connolly Station in Dublin.

Iarnród Éireann say platforms 6 and 7 at the station are closed. All Dart and commuter trains are operating through platform 5. Services will be running ten minutes late as a result.

There are no reports of any injuries and no ambulances have been called to the scene.
