Driver (36) in hospital with non-life threatening injuries after incident at 7pm

A 14-year-old boy has died following a road collision in Oulart, Co Wexford.

The incident involving a car and a tractor occurred at Ballytarsna on the Oulart to Blackwater road (R174) shortly before 7pm last night.

The boy was a passenger in the car which was driven by a 36-year-old woman.

They were both taken to Wexford General Hospital where the teenager was later pronounced dead.

The woman’s condition is described as non life-threatening.

The driver of the tractor was uninjured.

The road was closed and diversions were in place to facilitate an examination by Garda forensic collision investigators.
