Postmortem results will determine the course of Garda investigation

A postmortem examination is to be conducted on the body, the results of which gardaí say will determine the course of their investigation.

The road had been closed for a period on Tuesday to allow for a technical examination by Garda forensic collision investigators.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area around the time to come forward, a Garda spokesman said.

Road users who have camera or dash-cam footage of local roads around Ardywanig, between 10am and 10.40am, have been asked to provide it to gardaí.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Tralee Garda Station 066-7102300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666111 or any Garda station.
