Bob Geldof weds long-term partner Jeanne Marine

Sir Bob Geldof (63) married his long-term partner Jeanne Marine (49) on Saturday in the south of France.

Celebrities at the wedding included Bono, entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson, playwright Tom Stoppard, model Jerry Hall, singer Marianne Faithfull, artist Tracey Emin, actors Demi Moore and Richard E Grant, the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson and musicians Mike Oldfield, Sting and Dave Stewart.

Also present were members of the couple’s families as well as close personal friends.

The Catholic ceremony took place at 5pm in the Tropicana beach club at Rayol Canadel sur Mer, near Nice, with over 200 guests in attendance.

After aperitifs there was a sit down meal followed by music from the Boomtown Rats, Sting, Dave Stewart and Mike Oldfield, which continued into the early hours of Sunday morning.
