Baghdad - A new crisis between Iraq and the UN Nations erupted yesterday as Baghdad demanded the recall of a New Zealand de-mining expert, accused of trying to destroy Iraq's crops by planting locust eggs.

The Foreign Ministry called in the UN humanitarian affairs co-ordinator, Mr Hans von Sponek, and gave him a memorandum asking for his departure from Iraq within 72 hours.
