TEHRAN - Iran has dismissed as baseless testimony by the former Iranian president Mr Abolhassan Banisadr, in a Berlin court that Tehran ordered the deaths of dissidents in Germany. Mr Banisadr, who fled Iran in 1981, told the court, which is trying five men for the 1992 restaurant murder of three Iranian Kurds and their translator, that orders for the killings came from the Islamic republic's spiritual leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and top government ministers.
