An Iranian official has denied allegations Iran was hiding a nuclear facility from the UN's nuclear watchdog two weeks before a UN deadline for Tehran to dispel doubts about its atomic ambitions.

"We have certainly not," hidden any facilities from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Iran's ambassador to the IAEA, Ali Akbar Salehi, told journalists.

"This piece of information is absolutely baseless," he said of the accusation made yesterday by the National Council of Resistance of Iran, an exiled Iranian opposition group.

The group has in the past given accurate information about Iran's nuclear programme.
