Iona Technologies appoints Zotto as new CEO

Software company Iona Technologies has appointed Peter Zotto as chief executive in succession to Dr Chris Horn.

Software company Iona Technologies has appointed Peter Zotto as chief executive in succession to Dr Chris Horn.

Dr Horn, Iona's co-founder, will assume the role of non-executive vice-chairman.

Mr Zotto joined Iona in August 2003 and was appointed chief operating officer in October 2003. He was appointed president in October 2004.

Iona also announced first quarter revenues of $16.3 million and net profits of $100,000 which were in line with forecasts.

Dr Horn said: "In a challenging environment, I'm pleased to report that the overall results of the first quarter are in line with the company's stated guidance, and are indicative that Iona is continuing its move in the right direction."
