The Labour Court has made a last minute intervention in the Kilsaran Concrete dispute. The unions have agreed to defer today's strike to facilitate a full hearing of the court on Friday.
If the strike had gone ahead Kilsaran's operations in counties Dublin, Kildare and Louth would have been affected. The strikers, who are members of SIPTU and the ATGWU, are seeking better pay, pensions and sick leave provisions.
