The cause of a fish kill on a popular angling river in Co Cavan is being investigated by the Northern Regional Fisheries Board.

Some 80 adult trout were found dead in the Dromore River at the County Bridge on the main Cootehill to Monaghan road. The river is well know for trout fishing and the kill has shocked local anglers.
