A Dublin father of two died after receiving gunshot wounds to the heart, an inquest heard yesterday.

Mr Gerard Lee (31), of Seabury Park, Malahide, Co Dublin, was shot at a house where he was attending a party at Moatview Drive, Coolock, on March 9th.

Yesterday, Garda Insp Patrick Doyle told the Dublin Coroner's court that investigations into the death were continuing and he applied for an adjournment of the inquest.

Dr Margaret Bolster, Deputy State Pathologist, who carried out an autopsy in the Dublin City Morgue, said that Mr Lee's death resulted from shock and haemorrhage caused by gunshot wounds to the heart.

Dr Brian Farrell, the Dublin City Coroner, adjourned the case until December 5th for mention.
