Sunderland playmaker Sean Thornton and Nottingham Forest's John Thompson are doubtful for the Republic of Ireland under-21s European Championship qualifier with Albania at Dalymount Park tomorrow.
Manager Don Givens was delighted with Ireland's 2-2 draw with Germany in a friendly on Monday and was likely to have fielded an unchanged line-up were Thornton and Thompson fit to play.
Givens will wait until tomorrow before making a final decision on his starting line-up.
"We played very well against Germany and I don't see too many changes," admitted Givens.
"John O'Flynn (Cork City) was excellent in attack while the three lads in defence, Stephen Kelly (Tottenham), Colin Cryan (Sheffield United) and Stephen Capper (Sunderland) all did very well on their debuts."
Ireland lost to Albania in Tirana at the beginning of April when Givens famously referred to the Albanians' as the "worst team I have ever seen".
But the manager believes that the poor quality of the pitch in Tirana may have put the Republic off.
"We didn't play in our last two games against Georgia and Albania but I think a lot of that could have been down to the pitches" said Givens.
"They were poor, but as anybody who saw us against Germany in Cork we are a good side on a good pitch."
Givens, meanwhile, is not concerned the fixture was today switched to Dublin from Longford after the Flancare Park pitch was deemed unplayable.
"They did their best in Longford to get the pitch right, but unfortunately they ran out of time," said Don Givens.
"But it's a good pitch at Dalymount Park and hopefully we can get a good crowd at the game."
