Edinburgh - Support for independence in Scotland is slipping, according to a poll published yesterday. The survey also showed the Labour Party has extended its lead over the Scottish Nationalists in the run up to the election in May.
The Scotsman/ICM poll showed 47 per cent of Scots would vote "no" in a referendum on independence, while 42 per cent said they would support the move - the lowest level since ICM began polls on the issue a year ago. The poll also showed 45 per cent support for Labour compared to 31 for the SNP.
