New curriculum for commerce degree
A new curriculum for the bachelor of commerce programme at UCD's Quinn school of business will be introduced in September.
Changes to the business degree follow consultations with academics, business leaders, employers, careers advisers and students.
Dr Michael MacDonnell, director of the school, said the new curriculum would cultivate problem-solving ability and develop graduates who were intellectually skilled, critical thinkers. He said discussion of graduates had focused on the need for them to be critical analysts in the workplace setting.
