Racing:Impek, winner of the William Hill Gold Cup at Exeter, has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
The 10-year-old has been off the track since that victory in October and trainer Henrietta Knight has confirmed the Jim Lewis-owned gelding will not be seen again this term.
"X-rays have shown he has a hairline crack in his shinbone and
it's best that he rests. We'll forget about this season and bring
him back in the autumn," Knight told
The Times.
