Irish Life & Permanent is to recruit 100 personal financial advisers over the coming 12 months.
The group said it was looking to grow its existing team of about 300 advisers to almost 400 by end 2008.
A spokesman said: "The sustained economic growth of recent years has generated real wealth in Ireland for the first time."
"We expect growth in our retail life and pensions business of over 30 per cent this year and we plan to grow the business strongly in the years ahead."
The new positions will be advertised across the Irish media and in international markets including Australia, Europe and the UK, the group said.
