IARNRÓD ÉIREANN says it expects nearly all of its train services to run on schedule over the weekend, despite an ongoing dispute with drivers.
Company spokesman Barry Kenny said that the vast majority of routes would be unchanged over the weekend.
Some services have been disrupted in recent weeks by the dispute, but Mr Kenny said this would not be the case this weekend. "We want to stress that this is not widespread disruption and that the majority of customers will not even notice any difference in the service."
The disagreement with drivers concerns driver timetables, pay, pensions and driver training. The company employs 540 drivers.
Mr Kenny said the firm would be meeting with trade unions on Monday. The Labour Relations Commission has set an April 28th deadline for resolution of the dispute.
The following services will be disrupted over the weekend:
TODAY
06.45 Gorey to Connolly (Dublin), bus transfers Gorey to Bray connecting to Dart; 14.45 Pearse (Dublin) to Drogheda; 16.55 Drogheda to Pearse and 18.15 Pearse to Drogheda. The 17.34 Bray to Mullingar is cancelled.
TOMORROW
The 09.05 Connolly to Sligo service will transfer at Dromod and complete the journey by bus.
