Ampleforth Ltd, which owns the Fitzwilliam Hotel in Dublin, has confirmed that it has terminated its contract with chef Mr Conrad Gallagher. Mr Gallagher operated the Peacock Alley restaurant at the hotel.
The company said its action was necessary as "the situation had become unsustainable." It added that its Citron restaurant and the Inn on the Green at the Fitzwilliam would continue to operate as normal.
