New Delhi - Sri Lanka is optimistic that its protracted and bloody ethnic war will end soon, the new High Commissioner to New Delhi, Mr Senake Bandaranayake, said yesterday.
Mr Bandaranayake told foreign journalists that Norwegian efforts at brokering peace between Colombo and Tamil Tiger rebels were likely to bear fruit soon. He said his government was "hopeful of a positive outcome.
